Simeco’s shafted screw conveyors CA model consists of an Archimedean screw, manufactured by welding a helicoid screw flight to a central shaft driven by a power transmission gear motor, rotating inside a trough carrying material loaded through one or more hoppers, to one or more outlet spouts (eventually provided by sliding valves).
The screw is supported by end bearings, provided with sealing units (if necessary), and a number of intermediate hanging bearings depending on the overall length of the machine.
The trough shape can be tubular, “U” shaped or “V” shaped.
The power transmission can be “direct”, with the gearbox output shaft directly connected to the screw flange, or it can be a gear motor – chain – flanged shaft system connected to the screw.
Shafted screw conveyors are suitable for transporting bulk, granular and dusty materials, particulate and, in general, any low sized bulk materials.
The working range of the conveyor is between 0° and 90°.
The unit can be manufactured in many combination of 304; 316 and high strength carbon steel, the boby being usually 304 or 316; for special applications Simeco can provide other materials like AISI 904 or Duplex stainless steel.
Fields of Application:
• Concrete
• Paper mill
• Food Industry
• Slaughterhouses
• Industrial plants
Upon request the unit can be supplied provided with a control panel, which can be electromechanical or PLC controlled.
