FCD is a micro combined equipment for screenings and grit removing; it represents the most economical solution to pre-treat small flow rates.
The incoming wastewater is filtered by a screw screen with the screen basket made of perforated plate or wedge wire.
After the screen, the waste water goes to the settling tank. The tank fluid dynamic is designed to achieve a high grit separation degree in a small volume.
The special internal baffle system allows an efficient separation of the sand that is collected at the bottom and then removed by a valve which can be manual or actuated. This arrangement allow to achieve a very good separation in a very small footprint and to reduce the overall weight of the unit: this fact is important whenever the unit needs to be handled on site with little means available and when the unit has to be installed inside a container roof.
The unit can be manufactured in stainless steel grade 304 or 316, with spiral in carbon steel or stainless steel and/or many combination of the two materials.
